A Call To True Believers
Not a campaign. Not an organization. A group of believers from both families who will pray daily and fast together for the healing of the Body of Christ.
Why this, and not another argument
The arguing has been done. Theologians of both families met, studied for decades, and signed statements saying we hold the same faith in Christ. It did not restore communion. More argument will not either.
When the disciples could not cast out a spirit and asked the Lord why, He did not tell them to study harder. He said:
“This kind can come out by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.”
Sixteen hundred years of separation, mutual anathema, inherited contempt and hardened memory is that kind.
The two things we ask
That is all. Everything else on this site exists to explain why.
And there is a second intention carried in the same prayer and the same fast, because the Lord joined them: that He would send labourers into His harvest, and that both our Churches would begin obeying the command He gave last, go and make disciples of all nations. A Church that cannot sit at one table cannot credibly invite anyone else to it.
